That's what I figured.

Originally I wanted a 16x +/- & 4x DL+ Optorite with HD-Burn, but now I may just go ahead and get the Pioneer 108, unless the 109 really does bring the DL-.

I haven't heard anything concrete, but the 109 is RUMORED to be released about 1Q 2005. Retail 108's still haven't shown up around here, so who knows...

I saw a retail Pioneer 108 today at Frys Electronics.
I believe it was $179. :o

Hello!

I remember that MSI has rebadged CD-R-writers from Benq, so it can be that they rebadge Benq-DVD-writer, too.
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more

I have a Benq 1600 (now a 1620 with firmware-upgrade) but the only difference is the name on the drive. Exact the same model but with a 1620 firmware.
