Dual layer media

Postby mikepraba on Thu Sep 02, 2004 8:04 pm

Hi Gang,
Finally it is here. yes. Staples was first to officially put the dual layer media on the shelf. Eventhough the price is something you dont want to hear availability is exciting. 3pk Verbatim dual layers for 46.95 canadian dollars. I hope othe retailers will start selling soon too. this will bring the price down. If anyone test this media please post the results.
thanks
Mike

Check my reviews. I've used Verbatim's DL media with all the DL capable drives I've tested. Most drives handle it fine.

$46.95 Canadian isn't too bad for 3 discs. What is that? $30 US? We still can't get 3 packs down here.

I can do about that price shipped to Canada for 3 discs, and no taxes.

London Drugs in Vancouver (BC) has them too, for the same price. This was at the Vancouver Centre Store (Granville and W. Georgia).

Yep, though they did not have large quantities. When I looked there was only 5 or so of the 3 packs. I have not looked in any of their other locations around town.

Guys,
All staples got it. Some stores are too busy with Back to school. I can't wait to go and pick up another 3 pack. perfect quality and resonable price (not cheap) compare to our brothers at the south of the border. I tried in Hp drive , nec, Asus, Samsung and table tops Samsung, toshiba, Sony, memorex and hitachi. 100% compatibility. Way to go Verbatim.
