now, the image that the program build is 7G and the media is 4.7G, but all i want is to COPY the DVD Disk, to another DVD media with a DVD burner.

i don't know how to make it done ?!?!

can anyone explain why and how i can Copy A DVD ????

hi and welcome to CDRLabs. :)
Shana Tova :)

boy, you have got a lot to learn.
you might want to use a freeware program called DVD Shrink.

i suggest you do some reading in websites like www.videohelp.com , www.doom9.org . they have tutorials and FAQs and the likes, and also links to download various tools you'll need.

good luck!

The other way to do it is to just extract the main movie file. As long as there is nothing left that you want.

Extracting the main movie, you do not get: menus, FBI warnings or special features etc.

I'm not sure if DVD Shrink can do that or not.

DVD2ONE can.

The links that dodecahedron gave you are excellent reading.

..or get a DL writer.
BTW...DVDShrink can extract the main movie by using Re-author.

Hi Ofer,

The best advice was what dodecahedron and burningfool said above.

What I have to add is a short explanation of what your bumping your head against. You have 7 gigs because your source disk is 'dual layer' and your burner, like my burner, only does single layer = 4.7 gigs.

If you want to do a real copy you'll need to get a dual layer burner and even then you can only copy a DVD that is at or under 8.5 gigs which is the limit on those disks.

So use the links that dodecahedron provided and do some reading.
