NeroVision hangs when transcoding DVD-R slideshow

Postby jfc517 on Tue Sep 28, 2004 2:18 pm

I created a slideshow of digital photos with NeroVision Express 2 (2.1.2.21). During the first part of the burning process (creating menus and transcoding streams) the progress meter stops but NeroVision hangs. The only way to stop the process and close the window is to use the Task Manager to End Task. My slideshow has seven titles each containing an average of 30 pictures.

I've had this problem over the last two updates for NeroVision. I've tried the Nero Tech Support but we all know what that's like. :x

Any help with problem would be very much appreciated!!

Hi JFC,

I would recommend taking this in sections to try and isolate the issue. You mention that you have seven titles with 30 images per title.

If you try with only two titles, with 30 images per title, do you have this issue?

(Note: Just write to the Hard Drive for now, no need to write to DVD till we find the cause and resolve it)

If that works, then add a third title and try again. And keep adding a title till you find where the problem occurs. Tedius, but it can help us isolate the issue.

Once you find where it fails, see if it has anything to do with the pictures contained in the title, or transitions, etc by trying that one title by itself.

Regards,

Craig
