nero burning rom version 6 does not correctly ID my cdrw

Postby wonderwrench on Wed Oct 06, 2004 10:44 pm

nero burning rom 6 all versions so far show my yamaha crw-f1 (firmware version 1.0g) cdrw drive as having the ability to burn to dvd media. Now with version 6.3.1.25 every time I open nero burning rom it defaults to dvd format. Nero info tool correctly ID's the drive as a cdrw as it should.

One other thing since I'm at it. When the new compilation windows is open there should be an option to pick the drive letter. If the correct drive is not set when nero burning rom opens you must close the new compilation window change drive letters then re open new compilation.

Oh and when will the disk naming problem be fixed. Can we at least get the "new" default back?

OS windows XP pro sp2

thanks

I have this model recorder in the lab, and Nero Express is only allowing me to create CDs. It does not provide any options for creating DVD's with that model recorder.

Are you sure you do not have the DVD Image Recorder selected?

I never tried nero express till now. Nero express works correctly, no dvd choice listed but nero burning rom when run defaults to dvd for my yamaha cdrw.

I can not duplicate this in either Nero Express or Nero Burning ROM.
