SONY 52x32x52 IDE Internal CD-RW Drive, Model CRX230ED

Does anyone have any experience or recommendations with respect to this drive?
Thinking of getting one for my second system, for basic tasks like saving files and downloads, backing up, etc.

Hello!

It´s a Liteon 52327s-OEM. I had bad experiences with Liteon, I prefer the LG GCE 8525, fast and good
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more

no disrespect for scour, but an overwhelming majority of the regular members here would recommnd Lite-On (and thus the Sony). great CDRW drives.

Never had a 52x-writer that´s real quiet; but the noise is ok for the speed :)

LG drives are a lot more quiet than Liteon drives.

anyway, the CRX230ED is the newer 5238S, not 52327S
LG GSA-H42N DVD-RAM (RJ11, auroreset RPC2)
BenQ DW1655 DVD-RW (BCIB, RPC1)

Noise Control w/ Nero DriveSpeed 3.06
