Nero 6.6* - Concerns

Postby Big C on Sun Nov 21, 2004 9:51 pm

Just had to do a complete reformat of my system (due to operator incompenence - #-o ). I'm now to the point of having to choose and install CD/DVD burning software.

Based on here and CDFreaks, there appear to be major problems with Nero 6.6, especially related to creating DVD videos - i.e. burning direct to DVD disc causes the system to hang. However, burning to an ISO file, and then to disc works o.k. There are also reports of problems with Showtime.

Would appreciate anyone's take on Ahead/Nero. Seems that Nero 6 releases have been a mixed bag - some have worked o.k. Some stink.

Thanks in advance!

I think thats a some what broad and useless observation. I think it depends on the drive, users computer and media in question.

Haven't had any issues here with any Nero 6.6 functions.

Nor have I ever had a problem with ANY Nero version. I think its mainly the people with problems that speak up, there are probably hundreds of thousands of content people out there (well maybe not that many  )
