I mentioned that I'd be buying a new car in this thread.

Today I did. Not buying diamond rings in the last few years allowed me to save for this thing

(I actually spent a ton of dough for my wife's engagement ring a few years ago, but it was money well spent ;) )

Very nice. I've always liked the NSX. What year is it?

It kind of looks like a Corvette rip off. Still, nice damn ride. I need to get my '91 Mustang LX 5.0 back up and running...

You should look at it from the side. The NSX looks nothing like the Vette.

Ian's right on this one. The NSX looks far more like Ferrari work (and seeing as there are some traces of that heritage there, that's understandable). The NSX design has also been around a number of years longer than the current Corvette spec, and has a lot more (well-deserved) street cred as an exotic car.

The NSX is a sweet vehicle. Not having money for the gasoline, repairs, or insurance to own one, I opted cheaper and have a now aging Integra GS-R. Still, I love it, especially after firming its ride up a bit, and having owned two Acuras has made me a Honda fan for life.

Thanks all. I've been away from the web for a few days, enjoying some R&R.

This is a 91, with 36,300 miles on it. It's got a few modifications - upgraded 6 speed tranny, comptech headers, HKS exhaust, comptech suspension.

I've drive many sports cars, and this car is among the most fun of the ones I've driven.

It's funny that people think this is a corvette clone.

Here's what the 91 Corvette looks like:

Now people should ask is the Corvette copying the NSX?

Still thinking about the Ferrari, but this NSX was something that I couldn't pass up.

I've been on vacation, going to weddings/family reunions, glad to be back. Now I've got to take the car to get it registered this week, and give it a good wash and wax. I'll take more pix later and post. :)

Good luck with the car!

Enjoy it and of course drive safely!

Thanks for remiding me that I have to take my ride for a serious road trip one of these days...
The furthest I have gone since I bought it 13 months ago is about
135 miles one way, a few times, and those trips were half a year ago.

Funny, as I was typing this they had a commercial for my car on TV.
