is it possible to upgrade to an earlier version than 6.6.0.3

Postby ramlin on Sat Dec 18, 2004 3:56 am

I am just about to receive the benq dw 1620 (ordered it last week in fact - still awaiting its arrival). At the moment I have Nero express 5.5.10.X OEM version installed on my computer and would like, in the next few days, to upgrade to Nero 6.6. The problem is that the latest version of Nero 6.6.0.3 has been reported in having a number of problems with this drive (see http://club.cdfreaks.com/showthread.php?t=117915).
Is there any way of upgrading to an earlier version of nero (say, 6.6.0.1) - if so how? And does anyone know if the problems with 6.6.0.3 have been solved in the meantime?
Thanks

hi there ramlin.
where did you buy it from and for how much, if you don't mind my asking?

you can try to find Nero 6.6.0.1 on the 'net, i'm sure some site has it for download still.
install it like you would any version of Nero.
do you have a Nero 6 product key? if so just enter it into the program. 6.6.0.1 would run fine.

if you want, PM me, i'll send you a CD with the file on it by mail (or you can pick it up from me if you like).

while i haven't managed to find a download link for 6.6.0.1 (didn't try too hard though...if you try a bit more you might), i did find download links for earlier versions of Nero, such as 6.3.1.25 for instance (that is what i'm using now actually).
you could use one of these earlier versions until ahead releases a new update (probably at the beginning of next month).

I have all the version of Nero 6.00 and on but have no way of sending any version you want to you. You can probabely try Kazza if you have the S/N.

I found a link to it at ftp://ftp.freenet.de/pub/filepilot/...ro/nero6601.exe

Many thanks for those who have offered to send it to me - I have downloaded the file from this site and will install later.
