Thanks Jim! I'm all over that Maxell deal. It's not as good as the 15 for $5, but I know my local store has tons of 25 packs.

Record time at 12X? If it's around 6 minutes then 12X sounds fine in that case and I may visit my local store.

Jim,

For the second week in a row, thanks for the information. Last week I got the Maxell -R media, which works great with my standalone player. This week I got the Fuji made in Japan +R media. I will use this for data and hard-disk-image backup. So, I'm all set with media for a while.

Thanks again.

If you have no problem with DVD-R to be played in your stand alone player then for DVD+R burn them with bite setting as DVD-ROM, that way you won't have problem with either of them. The Newer stand alone players read any media (DVD=/-R, DVD+/-RW) without any difficulty.

No problem. I'm glad you, Ian, and others found it useful.

+/- 6 min 20 seconds

FYI > I picked up the Fuji DVD+R 8x (made in Japan) at best buy yesterday, it is the YUDEN000 T02, and I was able to burn it at 16x (+/- 4min 30sec) with PX-716A FW 1.03
