I've got this problem

Postby rider66 on Wed Jan 26, 2005 10:15 pm

Hi

After a clean reinstall of winxp and Nero 6, I suddenlly noticed that I can't burn CDs anymore.

I received an "simulation failed" error.

I've tried several media like verbatim and sony and get the same problem.

My hard is as follow:

AMD 3200+ , 1GB ram , Samsung 252f (working fine befor today's reinstall) and lot of free harddisk space.

Preferences were left as default.

I tried removing Nero and clear NERO tools, and e new installation but didn't got any solution.
This is the error log:

and this is an example of it

I would thank you very much in advanced for any advice to fix this bug.

Your log file shows that the write buffer is being reduced, and reduced, and reduced again till it can not be reduced anymore.

And based on the below excerpt from your Nero log file, where it shows DMA setting is '?' unknown, I'm not surprised. You need to resolve your DMA setting issues for your devices, as this is causing communication problems, which in turn is causing trouble with the transfering of data.

Regards,

Craig
