Writing Speeds:
DVD+R 16x
DVD-R 16x
DVD+R DL 4x
DVD+RW 8x
DVD-RW 6x
CD-R 40x
CD-RW 24x

Read Speeds:
DVD-ROM 12x
CD-ROM 40x

I don't know if the specs from PC Home are right, especially since this is most likely based on the Lite-On SOHW-1673S. If so, the drive should have 48x CD read and write and 16x DVD-ROM read.

I've already asked Sony America when their 16x16 drive was going to be released. All they said was soon.
