Athlon 64 3500 cpu Retail

hi,
Can anybody tell me if the retail cpu as mentioned above comes with
heatsink compound already applied , or do i need to apply compound
to the cpu myself.

Retail CPU's almost always come with heat sink compound or a pad. In most cases a pad.

they will come with a pad already on the heatsink, you just have to peel the protective plastic covering it before you install the heatsink

just follow the install instructions to the T and you'll be allright

unless you want to go with a aftermarket heatsink:

i have the all copper 7700 in my rig and damn does it cool, idle my cpu is at 77F
