Pioneer DVR-109 flashed to A09, slow reading?

Postby Sam on Sun Apr 10, 2005 2:01 am

I just upgraded from a pioneer a05 to the 109, I flashed it to a a09, and then upgraded to 1.40 firmware. I bought 8x printable dvd's from ucomputer (Manufacturer ID: OPTODISCR008) and they only seem to burn at 4x? Also when I make a copy of a dvd it starts off at 4x, jumped to about 10x then drops all the way down to 1x-2x? My read speeds have been awful slow, ripping a dvd with dvdshrink normally took me 10-15 minutes and now. Any ideas?[/url]

Check if DMA is activated. See How to enable DMA in Windows XP (with pictures) (or the corresponding topic for your OS if you're using a different flavour of windows).
