Nero finished DVD sound quality

Postby arranger on Mon Jul 18, 2005 9:16 am

Has anyone else noticed that the after-burn quality of title menu music seems to degrade from the original? I'm wondering if it's my home DVD player rather than Nero, but I'm not sure.

I started with an mp3 (already weak on quality) and after burning noticed that the sound quality was choppy. Using a .wav seemed to help.

Perhaps there is an additional encoding that occurs at final burn which degrades audio (just in the title menu) further.

Any thoughts?

I've never had any audio trouble with Nero for a DVD Video burn.

It's probably a combination of source audio quality combined with your Nero settings & your DVD player that you're watching it on.

Probably it converts the MP3 to another format for the DVD. Try starting with a high quality MP3 or WAV.
