No double sided is easier as dual Layer. It's not that much more dificult as single layer. In theory it's 2 single layer disc's you make withouth the policarbonate toplayer and which are glued overall together.
Specially when talking about recordables dual layer becomes more problematic.
Generally speaking, all pressed discs should be of good quality.... however I personally have had a rash of pressed DVDs with huge manufacturing problems, so it's not a guarentee either.
Dual sided is more problematic when you talk about handleing ( scratches.) (Scratching any layer means problem. Why with normal single layer dvd recordables you can damage the protective top layer without getting into trouble.
