Why does Scan Disk (Nero Cd-DVD Speed) always show red...

I am scanning my disks with a BenQ 1640 and the results are all bad (Red) sectors. Disks are CD-R TDK-Moser Baer and DVD'+RW Fuji-Daxon D42, DVD+R Verbatim MCC004. Is it the drive?
Drive has latest F/W.

Well the answer is - it's the drive... I went through the review on the BenQ and the new Sony, Duh!

You're using the "Read Test" option right? Try C1/C2 under Scandisc instead.
