Plextor Delays Launch Of PX-760 Series

Postby Ian on Wed Nov 30, 2005 11:44 am

Bad news for those waiting for Plextor's new 18x DVD writer.

Hopefully this means they're going to work out all the bugs BEFORE they ship the drive.

I'll take that as good news personally

I've never been a fan of products launched prematurely.... like any Windows OS, or the Xbox 360, or the PX-716a, or most intel CPUs.... etc

Yep, its out in Japan as well. Of course, that's based on the BenQ DQ60.. a drive that's been out for almost 2 months in some places.

I still don't know if I should buy for Christmas a:
NEC 4550
Pioneer 110 (without D)
Plextor PX-750A

The point is not the price at all
but being able to make reliable backups of Data on DVD-RAM (not videos),
and having a good burner for video on DVD R's as well ...

I would say the NEC, if you only want a drive from this list.

What about a LG GSA 4167?
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more

Then you should decide for the NEC :)
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more
