Coke really *IS* on crack!!

If this doesn't proove it, I don't know what will:

Also during the presentation, Coke marketing chief Mary Minnick announced the company's new advertising slogan, "Welcome to the Coke Side of Life." The campaign will include variations like "Chill on the Coke Side of Life," she added.

And if *THAT* wasn't bad enough...... check this out:

the world's No. 1 soft drink company, on Wednesday said it will launch a coffee-infused soft drink called Coca-Cola Blak in various markets around the world in 2006.

Maybe it's the fact that I hate coffee... or maybe it's the fact that they seem to be incapable of spelling black properly.... but this REALLY sounds unappealing to me.

Cola infused with coffee? Their new slogan might as well be "Coke.. so much caffeine you will never sleep again".

I drink Coke, but mainly when Mountain Dew isn't available (can't stand Pepsi). The new slogan sounds dumb though.

As for coffee, why would you want a soda that'd taste like one? I like coffee (and the occasional cappucino now and again) but the thought of adding coffee flavor to soda sounds nasty. Of course, if it just tastes like Coke Classic but with triple the caffeine, I'd be interested. ;)
