DVD-RAM 2 (6x/8x/12x/16x) discs could have compatibility problems on older drives.

We reported on it earlier this week. Essentially TSST issued a warning stating that the newer discs were not compatible with some of their older drives.

As far as the incompatibility goes, its been known for months. I believe heise broke the news.
