One of the "Small improvements and bug fixes" is that the trace of the recording speed is now stored again when using an image to create a data disc. This was lost in the update to 4.50.

a nice addition in 4.50 is that the version number of CDSpeed is in the title-bar of the window, so you can see it in every screenshot you make.

i've had weird things with 4.50 on my BenQ DW1620 - does quality scan of DVDs at 16x !!! even though the specs of the drive are only 8x for DVD+/-R !!! i'll have to see if this still happens in 4.51.1.

here's a couple of scans of Sky brand 8x DVD-R, with a fake TY MID code. same happened once with a DVD+R booktyped to DVD-ROM.

BTW what do you say about this?
the 8x scan seems pretty good, decent i think (these DVDs cost me on sale $4.3 for a spindle of 25). opinions?
this are the first fake MID DVDs i've seen. i wonder how they'll hold out over time.

the 16x scan is weird! (apart from the fact that the drive isn't supposed to be able to read DVD-R at 16x!). note the dips in the jitter curve as well.

In these two burns obviously you can see the disc have quality issue and jitter in both discs are questionable. I would not used these discs for any significant or long maintained recording.
