Happy 4th Of July!

Postby Ian on Tue Jul 04, 2006 9:35 am

I just wanted to wish everyone a happy 4th of July. We've got a whole day planned. Movie with the kid, cook out with some friends and then go shoot of some fireworks. Yes.. now that we live farther outside of town, the wife let me buy some fireworks. We have this one called Dinosaur Farts. Go figure..

Sounds like you have a nice day planned, have a good one.

Having a small get together here this year. Most folks that we know went out of town on vacation. Fortunately, it has rained recently so we should be able to set off some three year old rockets etc..

Have a good 4th everyone!

Have a Happy 4TH! Hope you all have a great and safe day. I for one will be working at the border along with a number of others keeping us safe. Again, you all enjoy the day with your friends and family. Someone out there have a Guinness Stout for me! CHEERS!

I like the news story on the CDRLabs home page best; specifically, "Just remember to take a few minutes to think about what this day is really about." While I'm all for celebrating with barbeques and beers (heck, I usually BBQ on July 4th), I'm big on the remembrance part too. This may sound cheesy, but every 4th of July I watch The Patriot. Yeah, it's not totally accurate, but it reminds me of all the people who fought for the freedom of the USA in the Revolutionary War. You could say that about any war, but the Revolutionary War was the first and most important, IMO.
