Memorex HD DVD-R Media Pics

Postby Ian on Thu Aug 31, 2006 12:18 am

Memorex sent me a piece of their HD DVD-R media today. Since you guys like to see stuff like this, I snapped a few pics.

Yeah, its late and its dark and the lighting sucks so they're not the best pics.. but you get the idea.

I couldn't get a good picture of the bottom. It's actually lighter than in this picture.. almost the color of a pumpkin. I'll try to take another picture tomorrow when the light is better.

Nice pics! Can you do something like this to show off the true colours of the recording sides of the discs?

Cool! They seem to be dark yet very, very reflective.

Where were the discs made? Any idea who the manufacturer(s) is/are?

Aside from a serial # I can barely read, there isn't much on the disc. On the packaging though, it says "Made in India". Manufactured by MBI?

Has to be. I spoke with one of the engineers over there, they are tooling up for sure..dunno whether they would still OEM for Verb on the HD/BR side.

That's not my desk. That's a table I had to setup because my desk was full of junk.
