any affordable blue ray writers out there? -going to asia

have not followed blue ray dvd writers at all but since i am on my way to china later this week i was wondering whether i should be on the lookout for these yet.

Right now you have three drive designs to choose from: Pioneer BDR-101A, Panasonic SW-5582 and LG GBW-H10N. Out of the three, the Panasonic is the most affordable.

I'm not really sure if you'll find any deals in China. The market has been so small for Blu-ray drives that you'll probably find little to no discount over there.

Samsung and LiteON should have drive options in the not too distant future though :D
Punch Cards -> Paper Tape -> Tape Drive -> 8" Floppy Diskette -> 5 1/4" Floppy Diskette -> 3 1/2" "Flippy" Diskette -> CD-R -> DVD±R -> BD-R

Samsung was supposed to have a drive out ages ago. It's a total no show. Lite-On's was supposed to be out a couple of months ago as well. Where the heck are they?

Isn't Philips using it?
