Newegg launchs their own forum...

Not really sure what to think. It'll probably end up being mostly the same idiots who write the "reviews" on Newegg...and those totally suck (people can review things they haven't bought, so cpu reviews are just fanboys bashing each other, tech level of most of them are virtually nil - I've seen quite a few people bashing Athlon64 mobos for memory support, when they should be blaming the cpu, blah blah blah).

It makes sense for them to have a forum from a business perspective. Attracts more customers and strengthens brand loyalty.

When did it launch?
Stats are pretty impressive if it is brand new.
12,914 users have contributed to 3,878 threads and 6,775 posts.

In the past 24 hours, we have 548 new thread(s), 3,311 new post(s), and 9,084 new user(s).

Not sure when it launched; sometime earlier this month I think.

Wow.. that forum is like a thousand people, crammed in a small room, all shouting their problems. They need to organize it a bit better.

They also have wayyyyy too many forums. I get dizzy trying to read through all of them. With a new forum site, it's best to start with a smaller amount of forums and then build as you need additional forums.

They offered me a moderator spot on the C&W music forum.
I told them that the salary of $100,000 year was OK,
but that they would have to kick in paid-up medical.

They sent me their forum announcement via e-mail on April 9, so I'd say that's about when it began, give or take a couple days.

I have enough forums already, so I passed on it.

They finally added some subcatagories to the hardware section.
