Burn baby burn!

hi
when i burn cds my cd burner says it can only burn cd s at 600kb/s instead of 6,000 k/bs.how do i make it faster??thanks.

Turn on DMA, use better media (Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden), make sure you have a 80-conducter IDE cable, update your drives firmware...

More information would be helpful... i.e. What kind of drive are you using and what burning software (I'll guess Nero based on some of your other posts)...

yep nero 7 and sony dvd cdr burner the model number is dru-8308.where r the dma?where is it?an 80- conductor cable?thanks

the dma is enabled the updates 4 the drive r updated too.better media??o ok

600KB/s? Is it an old CD-RW 4x-media?
Benq DW 1640 and 1650 , Plextor PX-755, Pioneer BDR-208 and 209D, LG GH24NSC0, LG BH16NS40 and 16NS55, Liteon ihas 124F and 324F, Pioneer DVR-215 and S21, Samsung SH-224DB and 224GB, and some more
