Which Nero version to get after Nero 6.6.1.15a?

Postby btiger on Mon Jan 14, 2008 10:44 pm

I've been out of the loops for sometimes :P.

I just built a new PC after my motherboard went dead last week, my new PC has 4 GB ram (2 X 2GB), however Nero 6.6.1.15a is only seeing 2GB (XP Pro SP2 is seeing 3.5GB, which is right cause only Vista 64 can sees 4 GB), so maybe I should be thinking of upgrading to Nero 7 or 8....I've been very happy with Nero 6.6.1.15a (over 400+ DVDRs without a single problem!), which version of Nero7 or 8 would you recommend?

Thanks in advance.

ok my official return has arrived, ive been without internet for almost a year

im back because i cracked a ton of wifi signals around me and am now leeching, nothing beats free 5Mb wifi

sorry to jack the thread but to answer your question

xp pro sp2 has a 4GB limit on it, that is if your are really using 32bit xp pro

it is completely normal to only have xp pro see that amount of ram

Hox, I see that you have a new tailor. Very nice!
I'll forward that to PH (Paris Hilton for those of you who are not "A-listers") and she'll be in touch. She is always looking for the latest, hottest dudes.

Thanks hoxlund 8)

Wow QX6800, must be a power user lol. If not for the dead Asus MB, I would still be with my old P4 2.8C/1 GB ram, which is more than sufficient for my needs...now with a Q6600/4 GB ram and Gigabyte MB, is a bit overkill, well I just hate upgrading :P

Hey Lance 8) , since you got so many video cards........give me a direct answer :D - for 100% NON gaming PC, will any video card do? e.g. just for playing back/watching video files and support 2 X 22" LCDs.......

I'm thinking of getting rid of both my HD2600XT (they are kinda like jet engines in a tunnel) and replace them with two HD2400 Pro (fanless).

as long as you get some cards that are hdcp compliant for future useability you'll be fine

my recommendation goes for an 8400gs but in this case:

yes go for that card if your never going to do any gaming whatsoever anytime in the infinite future
