I voted approximately 3, but then I realized it's actually 6. Whopps.

8M down, 768k up. That's the fastest available in my area (via Comcast) until AT&T U-Verse is available, or Comcast goes to DOCSIS 3.0.

The downside to U-Verse (from what I've been told) is that you only get a single HDTV feed off of it --so you can't watch an HD show while recording another with an HD-DVR. So I don't think I'll be looking at U-Verse even with the fast internet speeds it provides.

Once Dish network provides the local channels in HD here, I'll look at going to an AT&T phone/DSL/Dish Network bundle. It'll slow down my internet a little, but give me better TV selection for cheaper than Comcast.

You could move to the Twin Cities, they are here. I'm 6 down, 1 up.
