New Forum Features?

Postby Ian on Tue May 20, 2008 12:30 pm

Socheat and I are currently in the process of upgrading the forum to phpBB3. Most, if not all, of the forum's current features should make their way over to phpBB3. As long as I have to hack PHP, I wanted to see if there are any other features that people would like to see.

I'm also looking for feedback on the forum's template. Here are the two currently installed. The first is subsilver2. Its essentially an updated version of what we're using now. The second is a modified version of prosilver. Right now, I'm leaning more towards the prosilver.

They're both OK. I think that Prosilver puts more emphasis on the individual forums- optically pulls them out of the background- so I rather prefer it too (although I'm no great fan of shades of gray).

Are you going to activate the birthday option?

I used ColorizeIt to change the color of prosilver. I couldn't get it to match our current colors so I went with a neutral gray.

Yeah, the birthday stuff will be there.
