Any reason why you want to buy a drive just for LightScribe? There are a number of LightScribe capable drives out there that are very good.

I can't comment on the DVR-218L but I've been very happy with the iHAS424 and AD-7240S.

I don't bother with Lightscribe any my primary burners (at least the ones in my PC case) are a LITE-ON iHAS324-08 A and a Samsung SH-S203B. I have the AD-7240S as well and it is great for DVD Burns; not CD-R. I'll admit, it is my first LITE-ON DVD burner... bought it for a scanner, but it's not a bad burner at all. I burn more CD's than DVD's.

The LITE-ON, but make sure you get the iHASx24-08 drives... the iHASx24-32/98 drives are Optiarc AD-724x rebadges.

Yes, the DVR-215D is good for burning both CD-R and DVD-R discs.
