First SSDs From Lite-On - Plextor PX-64M1S and PX-128M1S

It's been a long time coming, but the first SSDs from Lite-On/PLDS are almost here. They're going to be released as the Plextor PX-64M1S and PX-128M1S. According to the specs on Plextor's website, the PX-64M1S uses MLC NAND flash and can read at 110MB/s and write at 65MB/s. It also says that the drive has wear leveling and (I think) trim support.

It will be interesting to see if Lite-On is as successful in the SSD market as they are in optical storage. If anything, their drives will probably be affordable.
