firmware upgrade for SONY DRU-V202a

I cant seem to locate a firmware upgrade...I got 2 of them and they are acting strange lately....might be time to change to new one...maybe the 7240S on newegg now for $19

I can't find an upgrade either. That drive is based on the AD-7200A so you'll probably like the AD-7240S.

so you have the 202a or some other sony drive?

I'm guessing it probably would. The people to ask would be Liggy or Dee over at CD Freaks. Those two know all the ins and outs of cross flashing NEC drives.
