LG 12x Bluray Burners

Postby hoxlund on Fri Sep 16, 2011 2:33 pm

Hey guys, it's been to long since I've graced the forums here. Currently have the WH08LS20, it's been kinda flaky so wanna upgrade before I get back from Afghanistan (6-month USAF deployment).

Looking at the new 12x LG drives, what are the differences between the following 2 12x LG burners

WH12LS30 - lowest price I found is newegg at $69.99 with free shipping coupon (expires 9/21)
WH12LS38 - lowest price I found is $89 at mwave

I haven't been able to figure that out either. Along with the WH12LS30 and WH12LS38, you have the BH12LS30, BH12LS35 and BH12LS38. I'm sure there are some differences, but the specs are the same on all of them.

That's all software. The drive itself has nothing to do with it.

Burned episodes 1,2,3 of "Star Wars Saga BluRay Untouched ISO Shitterz" on 3x 50GB BD-Rs, burned at 4x. Each iso was roughly 46GB. Burning on Maxell BD-R DL Inkjet Printable - http://www.supermediastore.com/product/ ... 631013-1pk

Discs came out flawless. Love the new 12x LG burner

The drive was able to burn up to 12x on these babies, but limited it to 4x. $7 is just to much money to throw away on a unstable burn if it were to happen
