Nero won't install...says an old version on comp.

Postby Barly on Thu Jan 01, 1970 3:22 am

I had a demo version of nero but my new burner came with nero so I uninstalled the old one. I even used RegCleaner to clear all references to nero and Ahead on the registry. If I do a search for nero or ahead, nothing comes up.

I still get the same message when I try to install Nero.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks in advance,
Barly

I saw your post while searching for a similar problem I have. Have you found a solution or link to solution?

I have no idea if this will work, but will installing the demo back on your system again, THEN applying the new Nero work?

This is normally caused by a failed uninstall or install of Nero. Could be corrupted versions of Nero left in C:\Program Files\Ahead or in the C:\Windows\Temp directory.

Best solution would be to send an Email request to me at techsupport4@nero.com and request our Nero Clean Tool and with this you can clean Nero from your system and then attempt a fresh install.
