Nero API failing

Postby Akhila on Fri Nov 22, 2002 7:58 am

Hi,
I have a trial version of Nero software.
Sample application APITest is generating debug assertion.
Following is sample of the same, where iso.dat is the data generated in iso format.

"
D:\NeroSDK5582\NeroAPI\Samples\NeroAPITest\Debug>neroapite
st --write --drivename f --iso myccd c:\iso.dat
Nero API version 5.5.9.9

Assertion failed: FALSE, file D:\cd writer Driver\nero\NeroSDK5582\NeroAPI\Sampl
es\NeroAPITest\NeroAPITest.cpp, line 1116
"
Also how to write data to the CD. The example shows of writng audio and video only.
Thanks and regards,
Akhila

The easiest way to write in Nero is to use the wizard (not me). :D When you click on File and New, a new window will pop up. In the upper left-hand corner of the window it will say either New Compilation or Nero Wizard. If it says Nero Wizard then you are all set, simply click on what you want and follow the steps. If it doesn't say Nero Wizard then click on the Wizard button on the right of the New Compilation window.

Guys, I think Akhila is playing in an entirely different ballpark that what we are used to dealing with. I don't think Akhila is interested in Nero Wizard or Express. It sounds like he is planning to programatically control Nero in his own application. There isn't any other reason to be using Nero at the API level.

Akhila, from where did you download the SDK? If I have time I might take a look at it.

Until then, I would suggest upgrading to 5.5.9.17. Version 5.5.9.9 had some issues when I used it.
