Sorta of topic but I got a Sony dsc-S85 4 meg camera today for $499 at Sears. I had 300 in gift cards I've been saving for 2 years. Got ready to pay and 4 cards were expired so I lost 120 bucks. I wanted the camera, originaly picked up a Kodac dc 4900, 399, nice but needs docking station for 80 extra and the Sony has more features and slightly better Picture qaulity so I traded up :)
I went down to the customer service desk to ask about my dead gift cards and the head gal there said oh no problem and extended them till March and said they'd started doing that for people. I then said but I just bought this camera can I apply them to it? She gave me the 120 back in cash because I paid the difference in cash, great customer service I must say :)
Anyways really nice camera, and Sears now gets my vote as a good place to deal with.
I plan to get a DVD burner for myself soon when I get my X-mas bonus and someone blows out that Sony 500a :)

I did pretty well despite something like 300 people crammed into Best Buy. The checkout line went all around the store and when you thought you made it to the counter, the staff routed you through the washers, fridges and dishwashers for another 20 minutes... spent about 1:10 in line. I was so tired waiting around I went straight home, didnt do any more shopping. Spent about $540, hope to get about 220+ in rebates back.

I wanted the WD hardrive/memory deal but they only had 15 in stock and they went right out the door in the first 5 minutes.

Kodak 2.1 Digital Camera
Norcent 48x12x48 CD-RW (made by Acer, proably going to be a gift)
BFG 128MB Geforce4 Ti4200
Two 75 Packs of Precision CD-R's (made by Prodisc, nice!)
Mintek DVD-2110 (Best Buy had several cheapo models, but this was the best one, even came with a Karakoe mic!)
Norton Systemworks/Personal Firewall
11 Pack of Maxell Standard Grade VHS tapes
Microsoft Internet Keyboard
Audioslave CD!

Made out pretty well on my first ever Black Friday experience:

- 16X CenDyne DVD-ROM (Went quickly)
- 48X CenDyne CD-RW (not for me, giving it as an extra (not main) gift to someone special) (Went quickly)
- LAST Imation Rip 'n Go mini-CD burner and MP3 player (to complement my SlimX)
- CCM ice skates (for tomorrow :) )
- Two Casio mini LCD TVs (one as a gift for my brother)
- one micro stereo system with CD player and remote. It has a nice sharp look to it
- some small items (Belkin USB hub and Memorex spill-proof keyboard both free after rebate (FAR)).

All for only about $400 before $171 in MIR (just when I had gotten my outstanding MIR down to a reasonable level).

The 16X DVD-ROM and 48X CD burner will come out to $11 for BOTH after rebates (that is including tax!). I had a coupon for $15 which helped.
Burners only:
Pioneer DVR-115D
Pioneer DVR-111D
Plextor PX-716A TLA0304
Plextor PX-716A same TLA

LiteOn 52246S 52X CD-RW
LiteOn 52246S (another)
LiteOn 52327S 52X CD-RW
TDK 40X USB 2.0 CD-RW
TEAC CD-W540E 40X CD-RW
