Was the old Cyberdrive 32x OCable to 36/40x?

Just reading the MSI->Optorite info from Ian there, it got me thinking.

These drives are all from the same factory aren't they (MSI/Optorite/Cyberdrive)? So the same method could be used to force a Cyberdrive 32x to 36x or even 40x, in theory.

Anyone tried it?

Hmm... My MSI CR40-A 40/12/40 (using the Oak chipset) is manufactured by Accesstek I think - is this the original manufacturer for all these I wonder?
