Sony CRX195E1 driver

Burn baby burn!

Sony CRX195E1 driver

Postby ceannt on Thu Dec 05, 2002 7:53 pm

Hi all first post here.

My OS, Win 2k, installed the drive as a ROM drive, that is it has the same driver as my Toshiba ROM. file 5.0.2183.1.

The OS will not reconize this drive as writeable except for the software that was shiped with the drive, BSgold! a search on this forum gave no results.

My question; is there a driver avaiable for this drive. Or is this normal for a CDR/RW. My main use would be for backup, games ect.

thanks for any help

What you are seeing is perfectly normal. You can't write to CD-RW drives directly from W2K. You have to use a third-party program (like B's Recorder Gold) to write.
