In House Review - CenDyne USB 2.0/FireWire DVD-RW

Postby Ian on Thu Dec 12, 2002 10:32 am

For today, we've taken a brief look at CenDyne's new external DVD-RW drive. This new drive is based on Pioneer's fourth generation DVD-RW drive, the DVR-104. The two drives share many of the same features including 2x DVD-R and 1x DVD-RW writing speeds, 8x CD-R writing speeds and support for buffer under-run protection. CenDyne has also gone one step further though by giving their new drive a good looking aluminum case with support for both FireWire and USB 2.0. In this review I'll take a closer look at some of the features found on CenDyne's new USB 2.0/FireWire DVD-RW and then put it through its paces to let you know if it has performance to match. How did it do? You'll have to check out the review to find out.
