It is for pre-order on sony's site and is mentioned as "ask" for stock availability on that site. At least we can confirm one thing, that the drive exists. Sony states that it will ship mid-December '02.

A while back there was a post about that Sony was going to stop their drives at 48x because of the whole disc-shattering thing with 52x... guess the competition was too much for em

Drive uses again Turbo mode for high speed !

Nero drives list doesn't include now recent Sony CDRWs (210,215,220 models) What's wrong ? A few days ago had mentioned CRX220A1 as 52x32x52 drive......

http://www.nero.com/en/content2/recorderS.html

but Clone CD supports it as CRX220E2 model !

http://elby.ch/english/products/clone_c ... .html#sony

(exclude also models 210, 215 !)
