What gifts did you get for the Holidays?

Postby Ian on Wed Dec 25, 2002 8:52 pm

OK, time to show off your new presents. What was good? What's getting returned back to the store?

On my good list: my wife gave me one of those tiny RC cars (dog already tried to run away with it) and a Transformers toy from Korea (Megastorm, for those who care)

On the bad list: clothes. My mom always trys to buy me pants and they always go back to the store.

27" Pure Flat Emerson TV (from folks)

Microsoft Sidewinder Force Feedback Racing Wheel w/ Rallisport Challenge (from sister. Never really tried racing games, but I guess I will now. Any suggestions?)

Apex AD-3201 DVD player (from girlfriend - Hidden Region/Macrovision Menu!!! I had to point out the last one on clearance at Sears) :)

South Park - The Complete First Season DVD set (from my Goddaughter - well, her folks really)

From Me--->To Me:

Leather Samsonite Desk Chair (beats the heck out of my old "Situations" $49 special)

Dungeon Siege, Real War - Rogue States, and Max Payne($4.99@CompUSA a couple of weeks ago)

Stratitec USB 2.0 hub (only $29.99 at Sam's Club with an extra un-powered USB 1.1 hub included)

Sadly, no Sony DRU-500A. But, Tax Return time is around the corner!

Only return item will be a card reader for my Digi-cam because I already have one that I am really happy with, and I will then have like a $30-40 credit at Circuit City.

Oh well, I'm saving my cash for a major upgrade...

okay okay okay...

I know this posting is late, but I'm new here.

All the awesome (at least I think so) stuff I got was from my wife: A05, cigar humidor (assorted accessories-colibri lighter, drawpoker, new cutter) with my favorite smokes, new workout gear (shoes, lifting straps, Otomix pants/shirts), more RAM for the computer.

The cool stuff from some of my patients: bunch of Acura NSX stuff (nope...I don't have a real one), dinner gift certificates, old vid card (still better than the piece of crap I had) and a bottle of white lightning (don't ask).

The cool stuff from family members: Verbatim DVD-R's..Sharper Image GC.

From the "You Might As Well Have Bought Me Stuff From Hickory Farms Since You Hate Me That Much But The Thought Was There, So Thanks" bin: Squirrel jerky, box of wine (*cough*), Hickory Farms gift pack (ironic, ain't it?), used keychain bottle opener.

From a friend/co-worker/awesome pro triathlete friend of mine that visits the cdrlabs site: A healthy assortment of beer.
