Postby binny on Sat Jan 11, 2003 12:22 pm

i'm thinking of buying this cdrw. Anyone have any problems with it?

Also, anyone know whether BTC burners are any good?

I got one for cheap ($50) here in Southern California. Love it. Waaaay fast. Upgraded the firmware so that it's now a 52246s burning at an even faster 52X. The hardware for the 48246S and the 52246s are the same. Get it. Lite-on's are a great value.

No problems with my Lite-On based TDK 48x CD-RW. Lite-On is the best!
Stay away from BTC.

Bought a Liteon 48246S about 2 weeks ago and have been very happy with it, fast and burns great, havent had any problems with it. But at the end of the day we can't say that every Liteon CDRW that comes out of the production plant is 100% perfect, sometimes its just the luck of the draw. But for me I am very very happy with mine, no problems what it.

Also have a BenQ CRW 4012A, and very happy with that burner as well, have it sitting in my home server and has been a great burner.

Though I havent flashed any of my burners as I personally dont really find any need for it.

thanks guys :)

Which one is 'better' a LiteOn LTR - 48246S, or the LG 48X 24X 48X cdrw?
I can get them the same price.

I've read reviews and comments from this forum that some LG's can't write audio properly or something like that?
