[W2K] Ghost 2003 error using Skipfile.txt....?

Postby EEG161 on Sun Jan 12, 2003 10:12 pm

I can't seem to use the skipfile.txt option to exclude a number of files and/or folders. The error is: "Ghost error: No such file or directory (ENOENT) when opening skipfile.txt Abort: 18190".

I place the skipfile.txt file on the floppy disk with Ghost.exe (standard Ghost boot floppy), and when Ghost calls the file, I get that error every time, no matter how I write the skipfile.txt file. Any ideas?

After reading the text at the symantec link you provided:
1) is there a non-FAT partition (NTFS etc) on this? It only works with FAT partitions. I'm running XP and opted NOT to convert to NTFS.

2) are you trying to use more than 1 -skip switch at a time? You can only have 1 -skip switch on the command line at a time.

I use all FAT32 partitions and I've tried one skipfile switch and that works, its the skipfile.txt file that is giving me the errors.
