52X-capable CD-R media and 24X CD-RW media for my new 52X?

Postby VEFF on Tue Jan 14, 2003 9:56 pm

OK, so I am addicted to burners and hot deals.

Anyway, I just got yet another burner:
A Memorex 52X24X52X, and would like to try burning CD-Rs at 52X and a few CD-RW at 24X, just to try it out.

Any media recommendations?

I am asking since the search is still broken...

Thanks!

Pioneer DVR-115D
Pioneer DVR-111D

Look under the Media Compatibility thread for the Lite-On LTR-52246S, as that's the Lite-On drive your Memorex is based on.

Try any TY CD-Rs, I was able to burn 16x rated CD-R @48x on my LG 8481B with no errors.

Thanks guys!

elim, have you been away?
I have mainly been in the DVD forum lately, so maybe it just seemed that way.

I am going to find some ultra speed CD-RW (i.e. 24X) to try that with too.

I still have some Fuji TY spindles to try.

VEFF:

The Memorex is really a Lite On in disguise (but you knew that  )

I've had great luck with Verbatim 48x Super Azo DataLifePlus. They routinely burn error free @ 52x.

Amazon.com or buy.com have the 24x Verbatim CD-RW discs. Go for a 10 pack. They're 100% error free @ 24x !
