Multiple burns

Postby abrehm on Thu Jan 16, 2003 5:18 pm

I know this is probably a newbie question, but I need to know anyway. I am wanting to create several data or file CDs that contain pictures, programs, etc... The problem is I want the possibility to add more data as it comes in, but still be able to access the data that I have already burned. Basically, how can I burn data to a CD and use it, then go back and add more to the CD later?

Now I burn a CD and everything works fine, but it makes it so the CD is full so I cannot add any more infomation later on. How can I avoid this. FYI, I have Nero, CDRWin, and CD Mate along with whatever software is included in XP.

Thanks in advance

Two things:

1. Use CD-RW discs instead of CD-R discs and rewrite the disc when you get more data
2. Use CD-R discs and do not finalize the disc. I believe Track-At-Once automatically turns finalizing off, but check your burning program to make sure finalizing is off.
