Copy Protection on Disc 2 of Stones Forty Licks CD

Postby busman on Sun Jan 19, 2003 10:11 pm

Anyone know how to copy the second disc? I tried Nero, Roxio, and Alcohol 120 but they leave bank discs, no closing. Feurio almosts gets it but there is audible noise on the last couple tracks and it won't play back in the ASUS 4816 burner or SONY DVD 500 burner. I need to play it back in my ASUS E616 CD / DVD. Any ideas? Help appreciated...

Busman, didn't you post this question on the CDR Media forum too?

I posted an answer for you there. :D

Clone CD saved the day..

I tried Clone CD and it worked both ways, first to an image file and on the fly. Both disk played without audible distortion on the last few tracks. With the other software like Roxio and I believe Alcohol 120, when copying on the fly, the last few tracks would slam my P4 running at 2.8G to 100% at times. It appeared to me the same as when you push video too far and it will start to drop frames... I have a lot to learn. Thanks for the help. I be checking some more postings for similarities. :D
