Postby rafi_d on Sat Jan 25, 2003 5:19 am

I notices a new (?) 8480B firmware (V 1.05) at :

http://forum.firmware-flash.com/dl_firm ... ad_id=1453

http://www.lge.co.kr/open_data/1043038564390GCE-8480b105(KW).zip

Any idea what was modified (or improved) ?
Did anyone try it ?

Read speed now increased from 40x to 48x for CDR media

you have to press eject button for 3 sec to read at 48x everytime you insert a new cd.

After seeing some translation using Biblefish, the 1.05 upgrade implements a new feature in which you press the eject button for 3 sec., then the read speed will go to 48x (I assume 48x to read CD-R discs).

I think that's the only change.

Ah crap, should of press the submit button a minute earlier
