OK, I don't need people to tell me to "buy a LiteOn" instead or whatever, as I already have one (and a few other brands lol).
I just would like to know if the Plex is still far enough ahead of the cheaper competition to warrant paying 50% more for it than a different drive. They are solid, yes. They have all kinds of fancy features and the write quality appears very solid.
But is the drive less picky now the firmware has been updated? And does it deliver the CD burning nirvana, ie write to any 32x+ media at 48x with the media checker switched off without causing C2 errors?
