Lite-On 52x24x52 Problem?

I just bought this drive and if i use Maxell 40x cdr's i can burn no problem at 49x or 50x but if i use Fuji 48x cdr's it burns at 40x to 45x then at the 80% mark it Nero drops the speed down to %24x to colplete the burn. I'm sure this is not normal? Is it a Nero problem or the burner? I have downgraded the firmware to SS0A, i tried to use Mtkflash but it said UNKNOWN FLASH MEMORY and did nothing, i had to use Flashfix to downgrade.
