Which one to pick - LG GCE 8520B or Lite-On 48246S

Postby mbourd25 on Fri Feb 07, 2003 10:23 am

I'm about to buy a new cd-burner, which one would you purchase? The LG GCE 8520B or the Lite-On 48246S and why?

Any comments would be great.

Thanks

The Lite-On, because it's a Lite-on?

I just got a Memorex 52x/24x/52x at Best Buy for $50 (after rebates). Includes Ahead Nero and inCD. Sale runs thru Sat. Supposed to be the same as LiteOn LTR-52246S. Works fine so far. Rebate claims in mail.

A couple things you should know about the LG. It does DAE and reads CD-R/RW media at only 40x. Its media requirements are also much higher than the Lite-On's.

On the other hand, its rewriting performance is better.

When people take photographs, instead of saying "cheese" everyone should say "L-GEEEEEEE". :)

I love LG.
